Background The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), specifically the Western Region, is issuing this solicitation for the installation of a fire-rated suspended acoustic ceiling system at the Duck Valley Juvenile Detention Center. This contract aims to improve the interior environment of the detention center by installing a ceiling system that meets fire safety regulations. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing labor and standard installation materials to install a fire-rated suspended acoustic ceiling system in three small interior commercial rooms within the Duck Valley Juvenile Detention Center, covering approximately 416 square feet. The scope of work includes: - Layout and installation of a ceiling grid system, including wall angle/perimeter trim, main and cross tees, and hanger wires. - Installation must comply with seismic bracing requirements as dictated by fire and building codes. - Layout and leveling of the ceiling grid to ensure consistent height across all rooms. - Coordination with BIA maintenance workers for the installation of light fixtures, HVAC diffusers, vents, exhaust fans, and fire sprinkler heads. - Final placement of fire-rated ceiling tiles after all above-ceiling mechanical, electrical, and fire-related components are installed and approved. - Clean-up of installation debris related to ceiling work. Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving award and complete it within 90 calendar days.
