Background The Department of Health, State Laboratories Division is seeking a vendor to provide elevator maintenance services for the fiscal year 2027, specifically from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. The goal is to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the elevators used within the division's facilities. Work Details The vendor shall provide full service (monthly) maintenance for two elevators: a large hydraulic passenger elevator (Mauka) and a small hydraulic passenger elevator (Makai), both manufactured by Dover. The scope of work includes: - Regular examination, adjustment, lubrication, repair or replacement of equipment including elevator machinery, pumps, motors, jack units, controllers, valves, dispatching equipment/emergency telephone systems in cars, fixtures such as button stations and control panels. - Additional responsibilities include coordinating with fire alarm/sprinkler maintenance companies for access during testing or repairs at no extra cost. - Responding to trouble calls within specified timeframes. - Conducting legally required inspections at no additional charge. - Providing all necessary tools and materials for maintenance. - Informing SLD of any non-serviceable equipment along with repair or replacement estimates. Period of Performance The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Place of Performance Services will be performed at the facilities of the Department of Health in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bidder Requirements Vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance covering the service period prior to the start date. Insurance requirements include: - Commercial General Liability ($1 million per occurrence) - Automobile Liability ($1 million per occurrence) - Professional Liability ($1 million per occurrence) Vendors must also comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding insurance coverage.
