Background The Pawtucket Water Supply Board (PWSB) is soliciting bids for the furnishing and installation of new chain link fence and the miscellaneous repair of existing chain link fence or guard rail on PWSB property. This work will take place in various areas of the cities of Pawtucket and Attleboro, as well as the towns of Lincoln, Cumberland, North Attleboro, and Wrentham. The goal of this contract is to enhance security and maintenance of water supply properties. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, appurtenances, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the installation and repairs of chain link fences or guard rails. Specific tasks include: 1) Furnishing and installing 6' chain link fence (2000 linear feet); 2) Installing end or corner posts (20 each); 3) Installing intermediate posts (10 each); 4) Installing a 12' wide double gate (4 each); 5) Installing a 14' wide double gate (2 each); 6) Performing miscellaneous work not covered in items 1 through 5 on a time and materials basis with an allowance for labor, equipment, and materials plus overhead. Period of Performance The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will extend until June 30, 2028. There is an option to extend for one additional year upon mutual agreement. Place of Performance Work will be performed at various locations within the cities of Pawtucket and Attleboro and the towns of Lincoln, Cumberland, North Attleboro, and Wrentham. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have at least five years of satisfactory experience in providing chain link fence installation and related repairs. They must also provide a bid surety in the form of a bid bond or certified check equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Additionally, bidders are required to maintain specific insurance coverage including Commercial General Liability with limits not less than $1 million per occurrence.
