Background The Pawtucket Water Supply Board (PWSB) is seeking bids for tree and brush clearing services on its owned properties. The primary focus of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and safety of the watershed area located in northern Cumberland, Rhode Island, as well as other properties in Pawtucket, Lincoln, Wrentham, Attleboro, and North Attleboro. Work Details The contractor will provide labor and equipment for tree trimming, tree removal, and brush clearing. All work must be performed by experienced laborers under the supervision of a licensed arborist. Crew sizes must include at least two persons, one being a licensed arborist. Scheduled work should generally last no less than one week and may be scheduled in increments of two or more weeks. The contractor must supply all necessary equipment including a bucket truck with a minimum working height of 55 feet and a chipper with at least a 12-inch diameter chipping capacity. The contractor is responsible for all insurance, fringe benefits, overhead, and profit associated with the work. Period of Performance The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and will end on June 30, 2028. There is an option to extend the contract for an additional year upon mutual agreement. Place of Performance Work will primarily take place in the watershed area in northern Cumberland, RI, as well as on PWSB properties located in Pawtucket, Lincoln (RI), Wrentham (MA), Attleboro (MA), and North Attleboro (MA). Bidder Requirements Bidders must have at least five years of satisfactory experience in providing similar services. They are required to submit proof of insurance coverage that meets specified limits including Commercial General Liability and Workers' Compensation. Bidders must also provide references from at least four entities for whom they have performed similar work.
