Background The Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College is seeking bids for the procurement of Near Infrared Equipment. This equipment is intended for evaluating the quality of sugarcane and soybean, specifically measuring parameters such as sucrose content, fiber percentage, soluble solids, and purity. The goal of this contract is to enhance agricultural research capabilities at the LSU AgCenter. Work Details The contract involves supplying Near Infrared Equipment that meets the following specifications: - Must utilize Near Infrared (NIR) technology, including dispersive NIR or Fourier Transform NIR (FT-NIR) systems. - Capable of analyzing both solid and liquid samples with appropriate accessories. - Must include calibration models suitable for sugarcane analysis in multiple sample forms (shredded cane and juice). - Mandatory parameters to be measured include sucrose content (Pol), soluble solids (Brix), fiber content, and purity. - A sample presentation system suitable for inhomogeneous materials must be included. - Warranty must cover a minimum of 12 months with factory technicians available for support during business hours. Spare parts must be delivered within 48 hours if needed. - Delivery to LSU AgCenter, Dean Lee Research and Extension Center by June 30th, 2026, with on-site training for a minimum of six users required. Period of Performance The contract performance period is from the date of award until June 30th, 2026. Place of Performance The equipment will be delivered to LSU AgCenter, Dean Lee Research and Extension Center, located at 8105 Tom Bowman Drive, Alexandria, LA 71302. Bidder Requirements Bidders must ensure compliance with all specifications outlined in the solicitation. The supplier must be registered in LSU's procurement system prior to bid submission. Additionally, suppliers are required to provide documentation certifying that they are not suspended or debarred under federal or state laws.
