Mosquito Control Insecticides

Background

The City of Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, is seeking bids for an annual contract for mosquito control insecticides. The purpose of this contract is to procure various insecticides that meet specific regulatory and performance standards to effectively manage mosquito populations in the area. The successful vendor will provide products that are registered with the EPA and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

Work Details

The contract includes the supply of the following mosquito control insecticides: 1. **Methoprene Granules**: ALTOSID P35, containing at least 4% Methoprene, in granular form without activated carbon. Must be EPA registered. 2. **BTI Liquid Larvicide**: AQUABAC XT or VECTOBAC 12AS, composed of Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis with a minimum potency of 1200 International Toxic Units per milligram. Must be EPA registered. 3. **BTI Granules**: AQUABAC 200G or VECTOBAC G, containing at least 2.8% insecticidal toxins or fermentation solids. 4. **Larvicidal Oil**: Clarke COCOBEAR, a liquid formulation containing a maximum of 10% mineral oil. 5. **Spinosad Tablet Larvicide**: Clarke NATULAR XRT, containing 6.25% spinosad in an extended release tablet formulation. 6. **Sumithrin/Prallethrin/PBO Insecticide Mix**: Clarke DUET DUAL ACTION ADULTICIDE, with specific concentrations of active ingredients. 7. **Dual Action Aerial Insecticide Mix**: Liquid DUET HD Mosquito Adulticiding Insecticide with specified active ingredient concentrations. 8. **Methoprene Pellets**: ALTOSID PELLETS with at least 4% Methoprene in pelletized form. 9. **Permethrin/PBO Insecticide Mix**: PERMANONE 31-66 or equivalent with specified concentrations. 10. **Deltamethrin Aerial Adulticide**: Imperium Mosquito Adulticiding Insecticide containing 2% deltamethrin.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year, with options for renewal for two additional one-year periods based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Products must be delivered to various locations within East Baton Rouge Parish as specified in the bid documents.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the City-Parish Vendor Self-Service system and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding procurement and contracting. Bidders must also provide proof of insurance if work is performed on-site and submit Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals proposed within five days of request.
