Background The 180th Toledo Air National Guard Base is seeking a contractor to provide lawn care services for approximately 36 acres of grounds. The mission of the base includes maintaining the facilities in a healthy and aesthetically pleasing condition, adhering to all applicable regulations. Work Details The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following tasks: 1. Lawn Mowing: Mow approximately 36 acres of turf to a consistent height of 3.5 inches. Additional cuts outside the regular schedule require prior approval. 2. Trimming and Edging: Trim grass and weeds along all fence lines, curbs, sidewalks, poles, signs, bollards, trees, and islands during each mowing cycle. 3. Weed Abatement: Perform manual or mechanical weed removal in all mulch beds, stone beds, sidewalk cracks, curbs, asphalt areas, solar fields, and around mechanical equipment. 4. Debris Removal: Inspect service areas before each mowing and remove any litter or debris. 5. Clipping and Debris Cleanup: After mowing and trimming, blow or vacuum grass clippings from sidewalks and roadways. All clippings must be collected and removed from street surfaces and sewer drains. 6. Disposal: The contractor is responsible for proper off-site disposal of all clippings and debris generated from services performed under this contract. Period of Performance The contract will consist of one base year from May 11, 2026 to June 30, 2026 with an option to extend for one additional year from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Work will be performed Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Place of Performance 180th Toledo Air National Guard Base, located at 2660 South Eber Road, Swanton, Ohio 43558. Bidder Requirements Bidders must submit a completed and signed Bidder Certification with their quote as a separate document. Compliance Verification Documents must include an Acord Certificate or Certificate of Liability Insurance with Endorsements and Stop Gap coverage; verification of current address; signed Bidder’s Certification Form; current BWC Certification; MBE/EDGE/VBE/WBE certification; Specialty Trade Certification as referenced in the Scope of Work.
