The salient characteristics of the desktop XRF system are listed specifically in the attached Statement of Work (SOW).

Background The Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) is seeking to procure a desktop X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) system to enhance their capabilities at the DLA Product Test Center. This contract aims to provide a new, state-of-the-art XRF system that meets specific technical requirements and supports the mission of the DSCC in providing quality testing and evaluation services. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, transportation, supplies, supervision, etc., necessary to deliver a Bowman P-Series XRF System with the following salient characteristics: 1. New equipment, not refurbished. 2. Supplied with an operating manual. 3. High flux silicon drift detector (SDD) with a minimum resolution of 190eV. 4. Capability to detect elements from Aluminum (Al) to Uranium (Ur), including but not limited to: - Al Si P S Cl Ar K Ca Sc Ti V Cr Mn Fe Co Ni Cu Zn Ga Ge As Se Br Kr Rb Sr Y Zr Nb Mo Tc Ru Rh Pd Ag Cd In Sn Sb Te I Xe Cs Ba La Ce Pr Nd Pm Sm Eu Gd Tb Dy Ho Er Tm Yb Lu Hf Ta W Re Os Ir Pt Au Hg Tl Pb Bi Po At Rn Fr Ra Ac Th Pa U 5. 50 W (50kV and 1mA) micro-focused W anode tube. 6. Programmable X-Y stage with dimensions of at least 13”x15”. 7. Installation and calibration by a Bowman technician. 8. Four round collimators of sizes 4, 8, 12, and 24 mil. 9. Z distance capable of measuring sample sizes of 5.5”. 10. Focal distance between 0.25 – 2.5”. 11. CMOS camera with a resolution of 1280x720 VGA. 12. Power supply: 150W, compatible with 100-240 volts at 47Hz to 63Hz. 13. Minimum one-year warranty on all parts and labor. 14. One day of training for five personnel on equipment and software interface. 15. Bowman Archer software with appropriate licensing and a desktop workstation capable of running it: - Intel Core i5 9th gen processor - 16GB RAM - Solid State hard drive - Full HD (1920x1080 resolution) monitor - Microsoft Windows 11 Professional 64bit. 16. Must be a drop-in replacement for the current desktop XRF system compatible with existing custom software programs. Period of Performance Delivery is expected within 8-10 weeks from the date of award.
