Background Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is seeking bids for the upgrade of the elevator in the Crabbe Library located on their Richmond, KY campus. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and safety of the elevator system within the library, which is a vital resource for students and faculty. Work Details The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the elevator upgrade project as specified in solicitation CITB-505-2026. This includes compliance with all specifications and requirements outlined in the project manual and attachments. The project is estimated to cost $500,000.00 and requires substantial completion within 120 days from the start date on the purchase order, with final completion due 135 days after that. Liquidated damages are set at $200 per day until substantial completion and $100 per day until final completion. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of approximately 135 days from the stated start date on the purchase order. Place of Performance The work will be performed at Eastern Kentucky University’s Richmond, KY campus. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered in EKU's eProcurement system to submit a bid. They are required to provide bid bonds and performance bonds unless otherwise stated. Additionally, bidders must complete various forms including a Sworn Statement Regarding Campaign Finance Laws, a Commonwealth Affidavit on Workers' Compensation, and an ITB Vendor Report of KRS Violations.
