Background Eastern Kentucky University is seeking bids for upgrades to the elevator in the Dizney Building. The goal of this contract is to enhance the functionality and safety of the elevator system within the university's facilities, ensuring compliance with modern standards and improving accessibility for all users. Work Details The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the elevator upgrade project as specified in the solicitation documents. The project encompasses all tasks outlined in the bid event and attachments, including but not limited to: - Dismantling existing elevator components - Installing new machinery and controls - Ensuring compliance with safety regulations - Conducting final inspections. The project is estimated at $250,000.00. Period of Performance The substantial completion date is set for 120 days from the stated start date on the purchase order, with a final completion date of 135 days from the same start date. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Eastern Kentucky University’s Richmond, KY Campus. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered in Eastern Kentucky University's eProcurement system to participate in this solicitation. Bid bonds and performance bonds are required unless otherwise stated. Additionally, bidders must provide a current ACORD certificate of insurance as per the requirements outlined in Article 4 of the EKU Solicitation Instructions and Conditions.
