Background The Town of Narragansett, Rhode Island, is seeking bids for the installation of a new electronic access control system at various Town-owned facilities. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and programming necessary for a complete and operational Access Control System. Key components include: - Replacement and upgrade from AMAG Symmetry to Genea cloud-based access control. - Integration with existing ExacqVision video surveillance system. - Installation across four main buildings: Town Hall, Public Safety Building, Parks and Recreation Department, and South Pavilion. - Installation of 30 card reader doors (4 utilizing 2 readers) and 14 motion detectors at Town Hall. - Provision of 1000 contactless smart cards (13.56 MHz) and 500 FOBs. - Compliance with various technical specifications including UL294 safety standards and RoHS compliance. - The system must support features such as browser-based management, real-time data encryption (256-bit HTTPS), automated backups in AWS cloud storage, multi-tenant capabilities for user management, and integration with visitor management systems. Period of Performance The contract performance period is expected to commence upon award and will be executed in multiple phases based on project scope and funding considerations. Place of Performance The work will be performed at various locations within the Town of Narragansett, Rhode Island. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide evidence of all necessary licenses and certifications related to the project. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 6, 2026.
