Background Utah County is seeking a qualified contractor to undertake the construction and completion of roadway improvements on Soldier Pass Road. The project aims to enhance the roadway in accordance with specified plans and standards, referred to as the 'Soldiers Pass Road Improvement' roadway plans. The improvements are part of Utah County's commitment to maintaining and upgrading its infrastructure. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, supplies, disposal fees, and other costs necessary for the completion of the project. Key tasks include: - General Conditions (Lump) - Traffic Control (Lump) - Temporary Controls (Lump) - Construction Layout (Lump) - Mobilization and Demobilization (Lump) - Roadway Excavation (100 CU YD) - Shoulder Grading (9714 LF) - Removal of Existing Culvert (1 EA) - Installation of 36” HDPE Pipe (40 LF) - Untreated Base Course (4880 Ton) - HMA – 3/8 Inch (2620 Ton) - Gravel Access (2250 SQ FT) - Asphalt Access (1520 SQ FT) - Sign, Post and Foundation (2 EA) - Pavement Marking Paint (Lump) Additionally, there is an added alternate for Soft Spots at 11,700 SQ FT. All work must comply with APWA standards and specifications as detailed in the solicitation. Period of Performance The contract period will commence upon execution of the agreement and is expected to be completed on or before October 15, 2026. Place of Performance The work will be performed on Soldier Pass Road located in Utah County. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a minimum of three years’ experience in similar work and provide documentation including a current local business license and a Contractor License issued by the Utah Department of Commerce. Proof of insurance is required along with documentation showing that bidders are current on personal property taxes. Bidders must also submit a list of at least three similar projects with contact information.
