Background Minnesota State is seeking proposals for the printing and delivery of the Minnesota State University, Mankato’s student newspaper, The Reporter, which is written by students. The goal of this contract is to ensure the timely and quality production of the newspaper and any special issues published throughout the academic year. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for printing The Reporter and delivering it to one drop site on campus, specifically The Reporter Office (Location: CSU 293). The printing schedule includes publication twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the academic year, with provisions for special sections such as the Housing Guide and Futures Magazine. Each edition will include one free plate of process color for the front, center, and back plates. The Reporter reserves the right to adjust publication frequency with a 30-day notice. All printed materials must adhere to specified dimensions: tabloid size with an image area of 9.833 X 15 inches and a page size of 11 3/8 X 16 inches using 30 lb newsprint. Delivery must occur no later than 8:30 AM following file transfer by 4:00 AM. Period of Performance The contract is expected to commence on August 1, 2026, and will last for either one or two years, concluding on July 31, 2027 or July 31, 2028 depending on negotiations. Place of Performance The services will be performed at Minnesota State University, Mankato, specifically at the Centennial Student Union (CSU) where deliveries are made. Bidder Requirements Bidders must comply with Minnesota State's Supplier Diversity program and may need to provide documentation regarding their status as a diverse supplier. Additionally, bidders are required to submit an Affidavit of Non-Collusion along with their proposal.
