Background The State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) is the official state arts agency for Hawaii, responsible for creating access to cultural experiences for the public. They are seeking a Public Programmer to coordinate, deliver, and manage public events at Capitol Modern: The Hawaii State Art Museum. This includes live music performances, cultural exhibitions, night markets, and artist talks. Work Details The contractor will provide coordination, delivery, and management of public events at Capitol Modern: The Hawaii State Art Museum. This includes organizing live music performances, cultural exhibitions, night markets, and artist talks. Allowable costs include administrative support, salaries/wages for program/artistic personnel, contracted personnel/services, facilities/space rental, travel/transportation expenses, and marketing/promotion efforts. Equipment purchases and re-granting funds are prohibited. Invoices will be submitted for accrued expenses with a two-payment plan: 60% payable after award and 40% after project completion and approval of the final report. Period of Performance The contract is set for a single term of five months beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. It may be extended or amended upon mutual agreement. Place of Performance The contract will be performed at Capitol Modern: The Hawaii State Art Museum located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bidder Requirements Offerors must be based in Hawaii and incorporated in the state. They must have at least one year of experience facilitating similar projects and be registered with Hawaii Compliance Express as well as SAM.gov. A final report with work evidence is required upon completion.
