Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to lease contiguous clinical space for a Vet Center in Hilo, Hawaii. The goal of this contract is to provide a suitable environment for the Readjustment Counseling Service, which supports veterans and their families. The contract aims to ensure that the Vet Center meets specific agency requirements while adhering to higher standards and regulations. Work Details The Lessor is responsible for providing all materials, parts, and labor necessary to complete the space and room requirements as outlined in the Statement of Work. The lease will be fully serviced, including the following services provided through annual rent: utilities, janitorial services, basic cable (including local channels in the waiting area and three group rooms), guest business high-speed internet Wi-Fi, and security system monitoring and maintenance. The security system must be tested quarterly with reports sent to the VA. Space design should maximize co-location of staff offices and group rooms.
