State Project Number 2026-876-8P517 Shower Building and Day Use Area Improvements

Banning State Park

A. The work will be done under one prime contract that includes: General, Mechanical, Demolition, Excavation, Civil, and Electrical construction. B. The following summary is a general guide to the scope of work. It should not be construed as a detailed list of work included in the contract. 1. New construction of a seasonal campground shower/restroom building (approximately 1,600 SF). This will include removal of existing shower/restroom building, slab and foundation system, and existing septic tanks/mounds; modification to existing utilities; and installation of a new gravel parking lot (7 standard and accessible stalls), two new water hydrants (bottle filler/spigot) and associated piping. Site work includes demolition, excavation, erosion control, concrete pavement, water distribution system, mechanical and electrical systems, site preparation, and landscaping. 2. Additional site improvements at the Campground and Day Use Areas (Site 1 and Site 2) include: a. Campground: upgrades to 6 campsite spurs to meet accessibility requirements. b. Day Use Areas (Site 1 and Site 2): At Day Use Area - Site 2, demolish existing picnic area restroom building, slab and foundation system, and septic, expand and improve existing parking lot (202 standard and accessible stalls), expand and improve picnic area and trailheads for accessibility and landscape screening, install new vault toilet, and install two new water hydrants (bottle filler/spigot) and associated piping. At Day Use Area - Site 1, establish new gravel parking lot along existing park road (12 standard and accessible stalls) and connect new parking lot to existing trail. c. Site work includes demolition, grubbing, excavation, erosion control, water distribution system, site preparation, and landscaping.
