The expansion will take place within the Lee T. Todd, Jr. Building, specifically in the northwest corner of the existing first floor. Work Details The project involves renovating and expanding the existing data center footprint to approximately 1,100 square feet to accommodate 15 additional high-density computing racks. All construction activities must be coordinated to ensure safety, reliability, and continuity of operations within an active campus facility. Period of Performance The contract will have a total duration of 240 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement specified in the Work Order letter for Substantial Completion, followed by an additional 30 days for Final Completion. The construction schedule is divided into two phases: - Phase 1 will last 153 days focusing on shop drawing submittals and material procurement without disturbing any part of the project premises. - Phase 2 will last 90 days for physical construction and installation. Place of Performance The work will be performed at the University of Kentucky's Lee T. Todd, Jr. Building located in Lexington, Kentucky. Bidder Requirements Bids must be submitted by Prime Contractors on a Lump Sum Amount basis. All bids must include a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the base bid amount.
