Provide a comprehensive orthopedic trauma catalog, including various fixation devices, power tools, and core instrumentation, to support adult orthopedic trauma procedures at the University of Kentucky's healthcare facilities.
Background The University of Kentucky is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified and experienced offerors for a comprehensive orthopedic trauma catalog. The goal is to provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions that support orthopedic trauma procedures within the university's healthcare system. The university aims to enhance its role as Kentucky's flagship research institution by ensuring access to advanced medical supplies and services. Work Details Offerors are required to provide a comprehensive trauma catalog that includes: - Plates & Screws: locking and non-locking plates; cortical, cancellous, variable-angle and locking screws; pegs. - Intramedullary Fixation: nails/rods (e.g., femoral, tibial, humeral), targeting/insertion instruments, associated locking screws/bolts. - External Fixation: frames, clamps, rods, pins, wires, and associated instrumentation. - Power & Cutting Accessories: compatible trauma drills/drivers, power reamers, and associated reamers/bits. - Wires & Pins: guidewires, K-wires, Steinmann pins. - Core Instrumentation: reduction instruments, basic trays/sets required to support the above implants. - Sterility & Packaging: sterile and/or non-sterile options with instructions for use (IFU) and reprocessing guidance where applicable. Products should support adult orthopedic trauma indications for long bones and general trauma constructs. Excluded categories include Foot & Ankle sub-specialty, Hand & Wrist sub-specialty, and Pediatric specific trauma products. Offerors must provide their full product catalog along with a defined pricing structure including representative procedure or construct-based pricing. Period of Performance The contract will be effective for two years with the possibility of up to five additional one-year renewals based on performance satisfaction. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the University of Kentucky's healthcare facilities located in Lexington, Kentucky. Bidder Requirements Offerors must be legally entitled to enter into contracts with the University of Kentucky and must not have any pending legal issues that would affect their ability to perform under this contract. They must also be registered with the Kentucky Department of Revenue for tax purposes. Additionally, offerors are encouraged to support Kentucky-located businesses as part of their proposal.
