Background The United States Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) is undertaking a project to relocate the National Soil Dynamics Research Unit (SDRU) from its current location at Auburn University to USDA’s Research Park. The goal of this contract is to construct a state-of-the-art laboratory building along with necessary site-related utilities, pavements, and optional additional facilities such as a lab annex/headhouse and greenhouse at the Research Park Site. Work Details The construction tasks include: 1) Building a new laboratory facility that meets modern standards for research; 2) Installing site-related utilities necessary for the operation of the laboratory; 3) Constructing pavements for access and functionality; 4) Optionally constructing additional buildings such as a lab annex/headhouse and greenhouse, along with other site-related features that support the primary laboratory function. Place of Performance The construction projects will be performed at USDA’s Research Park in Auburn, Alabama.
