Background

The Lawrence County Board of Education is seeking bids for a Robotic Pipe Beveling & Track Torch System for the Lawrence County Career Technical Center. The goal of this contract is to procure equipment that meets specific technical requirements to enhance educational programs in technical training.

Work Details

The contract includes the provision of the following items: - 8ft track torch system (120V) - Pipe coupon cutter (120/240V, 50/60Hz) - 25ft weld contact cable - Torch with 2 hoses and rack for gas system - Manifold and hose assembly - Plasma system with minimum specifications similar to Hypertherm Powermax 85, including a 25 ft hand torch and a 35 ft MAC torch. Equipment must be comparable to those used in Region 1 Alabama Community College System. Additionally, the contractor must provide a local representative to assist with setup, delivery, freight, and in-person setup assistance. Lifetime technical support by phone is also required. Bidders must explain any differences from the requested specifications and provide warranty information.

Period of Performance

The contract performance period is expected to begin upon award and delivery of equipment, with bids due no later than May 26, 2026.

Place of Performance

The contract will be performed at the Lawrence County Career Technical Center located at 14131 Market St., Moulton, Alabama 35650.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must ensure that their bids include the bid number on all related correspondences. The Lawrence County Board of Education reserves the right to refuse any bid that does not meet the specified requirements.
