The U.S. Geological Survey is conducting a MARKET SURVEY to determine the interest and capability of any firm eligible to compete under NAICS code 513210 with a Small Business Size Standard $47 million for an upcoming requirement to provide a variety of GIS, modeling, and statistical analysis for federal, state, and local partners. Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting a market survey to assess the interest and capability of firms eligible to compete. The goal of this contract is to provide a variety of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), modeling, and statistical analysis services for federal, state, and local partners. This notice is not a solicitation, and all costs associated with providing information are the responsibility of the contractor. Work Details The Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center (UMESC) requires software capable of performing extensive quality assurance/quality control on data acquired by UMESC. The software must manage and transform terabytes of data while providing 3D point cloud visualization. Specific tasks include: - Classifying 3D points - Creating breaklines - Editing 3D features - Performing volumetric analysis - Classifying ground and modeling key points - Automating feature extraction - Generating end products such as surface models, digital elevation models, hillshades, contours, and intensity maps. Additionally, the software must interface effectively with Esri’s ArcGIS Pro and be able to intake/export shapefiles.
