Background

The North Kingstown School Department (NKSD) in Washington County, Rhode Island, is seeking qualified bidders for a contract to provide septic and cesspool cleaning services. The NKSD's mission is to maintain safe and functional facilities for its educational programs. This contract aims to ensure the proper maintenance of septic systems across its various school locations.

Work Details

The contractor will provide septic and cesspool cleaning services for eight facilities within the NKSD. The scope of work includes: - Complete removal of all waste from septic tanks and cesspools. - Washing down cesspool sides. - Visual inspections with reports on deficiencies. - Rooter service upon request. - Ensuring all tanks are pumped before the second week of August. Specific locations include:

High School

150 Fairway Drive - 200,000 gallons generated waste.

Davisville Middle School

28,500 gallons - includes grease trap cleaning.

Wickford Middle School

20,000 gallons - includes ZABEL filter cleaning. - Davisville Academy & NKSD Early Learning Center: 10,500 gallons - includes ZABEL filter cleaning.

Forest Park Elementary School

10,000 gallons.

Hamilton Elementary School

10,000 gallons.

Stony Lane Elementary School

10,000 gallons.

D Building

5,000 gallons. The total estimated annual waste is approximately 294,500 gallons. The contractor must also provide a list of vehicles used for the service including make, year, tank size, state permit number, and ensure compliance with all local regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract is for one year starting July 1, 2026, with two optional one-year extensions available until June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance

All services will be performed at various locations within the North Kingstown School District in Rhode Island.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed in the state of Rhode Island for all trades included in this RFP. They must submit copies of licenses and insurance with their bid offer. Compliance with RI Prevailing Wage Requirements is mandatory. Bidders must also pass a Federal and RI State BCI check prior to beginning work under this contract.
