OnCall RI Licensed Plumbing Services

Background

The North Kingstown School Department (NKSD) is seeking qualified bids for on-call plumbing services provided by licensed plumbers in Rhode Island. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the NKSD has access to reliable plumbing services for its facilities, which include 11 schools and other buildings within the district. The NKSD aims to maintain a safe and functional environment for students and staff through timely plumbing repairs and maintenance.

Work Details

The contractor will provide on-call plumbing services including repairs, upgrades, new installations, piping, pump installations, backflow installations, and hot water heater replacements. The contractor must own a high-pressure jet drain, video inspection camera, and electronic line locator. Services will be performed as needed without a guaranteed number of calls or hours. Additionally, the contractor must conduct routine maintenance and preventive maintenance programs as outlined in the specifications. All work must comply with RI Prevailing Wage Requirements and safety regulations.

Period of Performance

The contract is for one year with two optional one-year extensions, starting from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations within the North Kingstown School District in Rhode Island, including North Kingstown High School and ten other elementary and middle schools.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed in the state of Rhode Island for all trades included in this RFP and cannot subcontract without prior authorization. They must maintain a Rhode Island Master Plumber License and insurance coverage. Bidders are required to submit copies of licenses and insurance with their bid offer. Compliance with RI Prevailing Wage Requirements is mandatory.
