Background The Hawai‘i State Department of Health (DOH), Family Health Services Division, Children with Special Health Needs Branch’s Project LAUNCH Program is seeking a qualified vendor to provide trainings and services on mental health promotion for children and families. The initiative aims to enhance mental health services for young children and their families within designated service areas in Maui County. Work Details The selected vendor will provide services across the islands of Maui, Lanai, and Molokai. Specific tasks include: 1. Coordinating efforts with child care providers, healthcare providers, and community providers to enhance mental health services including screening, prevention, promotion, and interventions. 2. Providing educational materials and information promoting mental health to children and families. 3. Collecting data from early childhood community partners regarding the reach of mental health promotion services. 4. Collaborating with the Maui County Early Childhood Resources Coordinator and other early childhood agencies on Maui. 5. Reporting data quarterly to the Children with Special Health Needs Branch (CSHNB). Period of Performance The contract will be performed from April 20, 2026, to September 29, 2026. Place of Performance Services will be provided in the islands of Maui, Lanai, and Molokai within Maui County. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered and licensed to operate in Hawai‘i, maintain a physical office in the service area, have access to necessary technological equipment, demonstrate relevant experience over the last three years in providing similar services, be a community-based non-profit organization with at least five years of experience working within the community, have staff available for coordination activities with Project LAUNCH, and meet all requirements necessary to contract with DOH.
