Background The Christina School District in Delaware is seeking proposals for professional services to provide School Culture and Climate staff. The goal of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify capable vendors who can support the district's mission of fostering a positive school environment through effective student services. Work Details The vendor will provide Student Services Support Staff, including roles such as Hall Monitor, Time-out Monitor, and In-school Suspension Staff. Responsibilities include: - Ensuring staff have appropriate permits by August 15, 2026. - Collaborating with district and school personnel to maintain quality programs and supervision. - Providing short-term interventions with students. - Weekly monitoring and supervision of hired staff. - Ensuring staff complete yearly training in de-escalation, character education, behavior modification, conflict mediation, and re-direction. - Providing electronic weekly updates on student progress to building principals. - Utilizing a research-based curriculum for small group sessions focusing on self-regulation and social-emotional skills. - Involving parents/guardians in the program through communication and family group sessions. Period of Performance The contract will be valid for three years starting July 1, 2026, with options for two one-year renewals based on negotiations. The district may extend the contract on a month-to-month basis for up to three months after the initial term. Place of Performance Services will be performed district-wide within the Christina School District in Delaware. Bidder Requirements Vendors must provide proof of Delaware business licensure, evidence of criminal background checks for all employees, documentation of PPD tests within five years, Child Protection Registry Clearance, and favorable drug screen test results. Vendors should also demonstrate experience working with students in a school setting.
