The goal of this contract is to enhance road safety and accessibility for public use while maintaining environmental standards. Work Details The scope of work includes road reconstruction on FR 2245 over a distance of 0.9 miles, which involves various tasks such as: reconditioning ditch lines, outlets, blading, and dips; mowing and limbing vegetation along the roadway; spreading backfill material on several sections of the roadbed; placing 3-inch clean aggregate in dip areas; and applying 2-inch clean and base crushed aggregate onto sections of the roadbed. Specific tasks include: maintaining a subgrade width of 12 feet and a road base of 10 feet; mowing vegetation to a height of six inches; reconditioning all existing ditches and dips; placing specified amounts of crushed aggregate at designated mileposts; reshaping existing dips with clean rock as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR); and ensuring all equipment used meets safety standards. Additionally, roadside limbing will be performed to remove overhanging limbs to a height of fourteen feet, with all cuttings disposed of appropriately. The contractor is responsible for ensuring that roads remain passable during operations and for any damage incurred during work.
