PPPL is seeking a qualified contractor capable of providing on-call, plumbing services to support PPPL's Facilities & Site Services (F&SS) department. The subcontractor will supplement the in-house maintenance team, which performs all preventive maintenance (PM) activities. The subcontractor shall provide complete corrective maintenance and emergency response services for all major potable water and drainage systems. This scope includes, but is not limited to, 24/7/365 emergency leak response, comprehensive piping repairs, advanced diagnostic testing, line camera inspections, and hydromechanical drain clearing across all system types. PPPL's portfolio includes a mix of plumbing systems including sanitary, storm, domestic, laboratory, gas, and specialty plumbing systems. This requirement includes a (1-hour) emergency service response time. Background The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on-call plumbing services to support its Facilities & Site Services (F&SS) department. The goal of this contract is to supplement the in-house maintenance team with a focus on corrective maintenance and emergency response for major potable water and drainage systems. This includes a range of plumbing systems such as sanitary, storm, domestic, laboratory, gas, and specialty plumbing systems. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for providing complete corrective maintenance and emergency response services, which include: 24/7/365 emergency leak response; comprehensive piping repairs; advanced diagnostic testing; line camera inspections; hydromechanical drain clearing across all system types. Specific tasks include leak detection and repair of domestic water piping, repair/replacement of valves, pressure reducing valves (PRVs), mixing valves, backflow preventers, water heater repairs or replacements, fixture repairs (sinks, faucets, showers), recirculation pump repairs, and emergency isolation and system restoration. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, lifts, tools, and fall protection required to perform these tasks while complying with DOE directives, OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, IBC codes, and environmental regulations. Place of Performance The work will primarily take place at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory located in Princeton, NJ.
