NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.) TO ASSIST THE GOVERNMENT IN DETERMINING THE POTENTIAL FOR SET-ASIDE/RESTRICT COMPETITION FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST. The 482nd Contracting Flight at the Homestead ARB, FL, is conducting preliminary planning market research in accordance with (IAW) Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) Part 10 to obtain information from potential eligible and interested contractors for the acquisition of Biohazard Waste Removal. The Government is seeking to identify firms that can provide this service to Homestead ARB. The attached, Attachment 1 PWS (draft) represents the services required by Homestead Air Reserve Base. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562112. Please review this announcement, the attachment, in its entirety. Any qualified and interested companies responding to this announcement must be able to support all areas. NO partial support responses from industry will be accepted. The contractor shall provide all personnel and materials needed in accordance with the requirement included in this posting. The Government is seeking qualified firms who possess both the capability and experience to provide the supplies that are needed. This is a draft PWS, feedback from industry is welcome/encouraged. The Government is requesting that interested concerns furnish the following information:
Interested parties must submit a Capabilities Statement that address the following: (1) Company name, address, point of contact, telephone number and e-mail address. (2) Type of business, i.e., small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business, HubZone, serviced-disabled veteran-owned small business, large business, etc. under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 562112, hazardous waste collection services. The small business size standard has an annual gross receipt of $47 million. (3) If registered in the Federal Government's System for Award Management (SAM), located at https://www.sam.gov, please provide company CAGE code. Note: The Federal Government requires registration in SAM prior to an award of a contract or agreement. (4) GSA Schedule Number, if applicable. (5) Evidence that the interested party is fully capable of providing ALL of the required services and as such may contain any information that the interested party feels is relevant.

Background The 482nd Contracting Flight at Homestead Air Reserve Base (ARB), Florida, is conducting preliminary market research to identify potential contractors for Biohazard Waste Removal services. The goal is to gather information on qualified sources to assist in determining the potential for set-aside or restricted competition for this requirement. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, and equipment necessary for the pick-up and disposal of medical waste generated by the 482nd Medical Squadron. Services will be performed at the following locations and frequencies: once per month at Building 347 Biohazard Waste Storage, with an option for emergency pick-ups as needed. All pick-up times will be coordinated with the end customer. The contractor must provide appropriate collection, storage, and shipping containers that meet regulatory standards, including labeling with appropriate markings. Waste must be packaged according to 49 CFR Part 173 standards. The contractor is responsible for collecting and transporting medical waste via sealed trucks to EPA-approved disposal sites while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. A copy of the medical waste tracking form along with a certificate of destruction must be provided after each shipment within 45 days of pick-up. The contractor must also ensure that all containers are appropriately marked and serialized, and they must comply with Air Force safety standards during operations on government property.
