Statement of Requirement

Parts for use on a McLanahan Horizontal Manure Auger Schedule of Items - All items must have clear traceability to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), McLanahan parts. Traceability means a clear, complete, documented, and auditable paper trail which traces each step from an OEM or distributor to its current location. The contractor shall furnish a Certificate of Conformance (COC) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.246-15. COC must be submitted in the format specified in the clause. Offerors must be able to provide necessary certification including traceability to the manufacturer, manufacturer's COC, and its own certificate of conformance. Prospective vendors who are not the OEM or an authorized distributor must provide traceability for the offered product back to the manufacturer or authorized distributor. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide these items are invited to submit offers in accordance with the requirements stipulated in this solicitation. Alternate Parts will be authorized if they are an approved alternate part that satisfies all form, fit, and function requirements of the original parts and conform to the approved configuration. All parts shall be NEW approved parts.

Background The USDA-ARS Environmentally Integrated Dairy Management Research Unit in Marshfield, WI is seeking to procure parts for a McLanahan Horizontal Manure Auger. The goal of this contract is to replace worn manure augers and installation equipment within the dairy barn manure system, ensuring compatibility with existing McLanahan systems. Work Details The contractor is required to provide the following items: 1. 18 manure auger sections (each 12 feet long; 12 inch diameter flighting; 3 inch coupling diameter; and right hand flighting) 2. 18 three-inch diameter auger coupler shafts 3. 36 cross auger quick clamps with bushings assembled 4. 18 sets of urethane bushing assemblies (2 halves/set) 5. 72 cross auger bolt kits (includes bolts, nuts, and top lock nuts) 6. 4 bearing hanger brackets (style 226 with tabs) All items must have clear traceability to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), McLanahan parts, and must be new approved parts.
