Background The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is issuing this contract for the procurement of quartz infrared heaters. The mission of the agency includes maintaining and operating dams on the Mississippi River. The goal of this contract is to provide equipment necessary for de-icing dam gate gears to ensure operational efficiency during winter months. Work Details The contractor is required to furnish and deliver Thirty-Six (36) Quartz Infrared Heaters, specifically the Aitken SQHL259 model or an equivalent product. The technical specifications for the heaters include: - Stainless steel outer shell construction - Outside dimensions: 5.75" x 34.5" x 3.625" - Single quartz lamp included - Electrical specifications: 480 VAC, 2500 watts, 5.2 amps - Rated for outdoor use - Includes pigtail connectors - Minimum one (1) year warranty - UL listed or equivalent certification - Packaging must include a manual and schematics, with each unit utilizing a replaceable T3 shape lamp (2500 watts) with U-clip Metal End and Wire (28.82" long). Delivery must be completed within six months after award date, with all costs associated with packaging, shipping, and handling borne by the contractor. Period of Performance Delivery shall be completed within six months after the award date. Place of Performance Delivery location is at the Mississippi River Project Office in Fountain City, WI.
