Background The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking bids for the rearing of Extended Growth Walleye Fingerlings. The DNR's mission includes the management and conservation of Wisconsin's natural resources. This contract aims to support fish stocking efforts within the state. The DNR intends to use the results of this bidding process to award a contract for the supply of these fingerlings, although it does not guarantee any specific quantity or dollar amount will be purchased. Work Details Bidders must be able to supply a minimum of 10,000 Extended Growth Walleye Fingerlings. The contract includes provisions for delivery to actual stocking sites within Wisconsin. If delivery cannot be made, bidders must propose a cost for fish pickup by the DNR. The specifications include: 1. Collection of eggs or small fingerlings from the DNR as directed. 2. Obtaining a valid Fish Health Certificate (FHC) for the lot of fish being offered. 3. Stocking should ideally occur by October 31st each year, with allowances for extreme weather. 4. A DNR representative may verify that each truckload meets requirements before acceptance. 5. The DNR reserves the right to reject any fingerlings that do not meet specified criteria. Period of Performance The contract will run for one year with two optional one-year extensions available. Place of Performance The geographic location for performance is within Wisconsin, specifically at designated stocking sites as determined by the DNR. Bidder Requirements Bidders must demonstrate qualifications by providing documentation showing their ability to rear Extended Growth Walleye Fingerlings and submit at least three references from similar projects completed in the last five years.
