Background The Foreign-Trade Zone No. 9, located at 521 Ala Moana, Honolulu, Hawaii, is seeking to procure As-Needed Electrician Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of both regular and emergency electrician services to maintain operations within the FTZ. Work Details The contractor shall provide regular 'as-needed' and emergency 'as-needed' electrician services for the FTZ at Pier 2. Services include but are not limited to: - Replacing emergency ballasts - Installation of electrical sub-meters - Electrical wiring and lights - Installation of electrical contactors, outlets, and switches - Troubleshooting electrical circuits - Replacing circuit breakers - Other miscellaneous electrical work. Regular services must be provided between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with a response time of 24 hours for service requests. Emergency services must be provided within four hours during the same hours. The contractor must supply all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and supervision required to perform these services. Consumables are limited to 3% of the hourly rate; repair parts are billed at cost plus 10%. Parts exceeding $2,000 must be approved by the FTZ before purchase. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon a written Notice to Proceed and will last for twelve (12) months. It may be extended for up to four (4) additional twelve-month periods based on satisfactory performance and available funding. Place of Performance All services will be performed at the Foreign-Trade Zone No. 9 facility located at Pier 2 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Bidder Requirements Bidders must possess any necessary contractor licenses required to perform the work. Additionally, contracts exceeding $25,000 require certification that employees will be paid wages not less than those paid to public officers for similar work. The contractor must also maintain specified insurance coverage throughout the contract term.
