Background This requirement is for a Protestant Chapel Musician to support the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Command Chaplains Office, which aims to develop personnel and families of operating forces and the Camp Lejeune community for spiritual and personal readiness through ministries, pastoral care, and the facilitation of the free exercise of religion. Work Details The contractor shall perform as a vocalist, guitarist, and/or pianist/keyboard musician in support of the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Protestant Chapel services and other religious events. Key tasks include: 1. Coordinating musical arrangements with the Chapel Pastor or Officiating Chaplain prior to rehearsals or services. 2. Performing up to one service per week (not exceeding 52 regular Sunday services per year) for active duty personnel and others authorized. Rehearsals for praise teams or choirs will occur mid-week. 3. Providing support for up to 20 special services throughout the church calendar year, including Holy Days, funerals, memorials, and special observances (weddings are not authorized). 4. Arriving at the performance location 15 minutes before scheduled events. 5. Reporting any instrument malfunctions to the KO, CS, and Chaplain. 6. Notifying relevant parties when unable to perform due to illness or emergencies with as much advance notice as possible; scheduled vacations require two weeks' notice. 7. Providing pre-approved substitutes when unable to perform services, with temporary substitutions requiring consultation with KO and CS.
