Background The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for a six-month contract for logistics services. Scientific and Commercial Systems Corporation (SCSC) is the current provider of these services at the Earth Resources and Observation Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The current contract is set to expire on February 28, 2026, and a recompete for a five-year contract is in progress, which requires a 30-day transition period after award. Due to unanticipated circumstances such as lapses in appropriations and staffing shortages, the recompete has been delayed, necessitating a bridge contract to ensure continuity of critical services. Work Details The contractor will provide logistics services necessary for the operation of the EROS Center. This includes but is not limited to managing site logistics that are essential for the center's operations. The nature of the work requires specialized skills that cannot be fulfilled by federal staff or off-the-shelf solutions.
