Background The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is issuing this solicitation for the transportation of wild horses and burros as part of its mission to manage and protect these animals. The goal of this contract is to safely and humanely transport up to 83 wild horses and burros from the Double Devil Wild Horse Corrals in Alturas, California, to Fall Creek Falls Equestrian in Pikeville, Tennessee. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary for the transportation of 83 wild horses and burros, which includes 36 adults, 36 weanlings & yearlings, and 11 burros. The transport must be conducted safely and humanely, adhering to strict handling protocols to minimize stress and injury to the animals.
