Background The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), specifically the Office of Marine &amp; Aviation Operations (OMAO), is seeking to procure updated handheld radios for the NOAA Ship Bell M. Shimada. The goal of this contract is to enhance communication capabilities throughout the ship, which is critical for safe and efficient operations such as trawling and fueling. The current analog radios are outdated and pose safety risks due to their inability to reach certain areas of the ship, especially during emergencies. Work Details The contract includes the procurement of: - TWENTY-NINE (29) Motorola Mototrbo R7 Portable Radios (Model: R7 AAH06JDC9WA1AN, Frequency: 136-174M, Power: 5W, NKP Capable, Non-TAA compliant) with the following specifications: - Intrinsically safe option battery (UL TIA-4950) - Single radio charging stations for each radio - THREE (3) Multiple battery charging stations (Model: PMPN4284B) - TWENTY-FIVE (25) LI-ION TIA4950 IP68 3200T Batteries (Model: PMNN4810) - Programming data cable (Model: PMKN4265A) with in-house programming capability - Device Programming (Model: LSV00Q00202A) Additional standalone items include: - TEN (10) Portable RSM RM760s (Model: PMMN4140A) - ONE (1) Mobile power supply with cord included (Model: HPN4007D) - THREE (3) Portable Wireless RSMs with battery included (Model: RLN6551B) Shipping and handling costs are also included in the contract.
