Background The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Veterans Health Administration, is issuing this solicitation for window re-caulking repair services at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital, part of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). The goal of this contract is to address water infiltration issues caused by deteriorating sealant beneath metal trims in courtyard 1 of Building 170, which has resulted in leaks into the men's and women's restrooms. Work Details The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove existing caulk and vinyl from all windows in the courtyard area and re-caulk these windows. The work will take place at the Eugene J. Towbin Veterans’ Healthcare Center located at 2200 Fort Roots Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72114. The contractor is responsible for staging equipment required to access each window frame. If necessary, the contractor must disassemble and reassemble the metal awning above the entrance to facilitate access to some vertical frames. All deliveries related to this contract must be scheduled 48 hours in advance and are to occur Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM, excluding federal holidays. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract will commence upon award and is expected to last until all tasks are completed satisfactorily as per the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work.
