Background The U.S. Government is seeking to procure commercial services for Packing, Containerization, and Local Drayage Direct Procurement Method (DPM) Personal Property Shipment Services in support of the Recompete DPM Local Moves Contract for Fort Benning, Georgia. This solicitation is specifically aimed at Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), contingent upon receiving responses from two or more qualified small businesses to support a potential set-aside. The goal is to identify capable contractors who can meet the requirements at a fair market price. Work Details The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials necessary for the preparation of personal property shipments for Department of Defense (DoD) personnel. Key tasks include: 1. Premove Survey: Conducting a survey to determine the nature of personal property for shipment through physical inspection or telephone communication with the customer. 2. Weighing: Determining gross, tare, and net weights using certified scales; submitting weight tickets; and applying constructive weight when necessary. 3. Packing and Containerization: Ensuring proper packing for damage-free movement including tagging, inventorying, marking, loading, storing, unpacking, and inspecting household goods (HHG) and unaccompanied baggage (UB). 4. Quality Control: Establishing a quality control program to ensure compliance with contract requirements and providing monthly performance metrics. 5. Documentation: Ensuring accurate and legible documentation for all services performed and timely submission of invoices. Place of Performance The primary location for performance will be Fort Benning, Georgia.
