The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) requests Lycoming engine customer overhaul' and parts for the fleet of FBI-owned Cessna G1000 aircrafts.
This is a Sources Sought notice/Request for Information (RFI). This is not a formal solicitation. Any formal solicitation will be announced separately at a later time. Information provided to the Government because of this posting is strictly voluntary and given with no expectation of compensation and clearly provided at no cost to the Government. Contact with Government personnel, other than the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer, by potential offerors or their employees regarding this requirement is strictly prohibited.
The summary is as follows:
The contractor shall provide specific Customer Overhaul' on covered aircrafts listed in the SOW Task 1.3, using the following Engine Models T206H: TIO-540-AJ1A=HENPL-RT1F11178, 206H: IO-540-AC1A5= HENPL-RT10148 and the 182T: IO-540-AB1A5=HENPL-RT1F10597.The contractor shall provide as requested OEM and FAA compliant engine accessory parts for the fleet of FBI-owned aircrafts in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW) dated 4 February 2026.

The anticipated contract type will be firm fixed price.
The FBI is interested in obtaining information from industry. Both large business concerns and all categories of small business are encouraged to respond to this request. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code anticipated for this requirement is 336412 Aircraft Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing and small business size standard in number of employees for the selected NAICS is 1,550 employees

Background The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking to procure Lycoming engine 'customer overhaul' services and parts for its fleet of Cessna G1000 aircraft. Timely delivery of engines not exceeding two months from receipt at the facility. 3. Documentation requirements including engine reports, FAA AD compliance, and records of new part numbers installed. 4. Management of any additional inspections or repairs outside the standard overhaul process through prior approval from the FBI.
