Background The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) is issuing a contract for municipal waste disposal services at their facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective solid waste collection and removal services while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards. The contractor will be responsible for managing all aspects of waste disposal, excluding hazardous and medical waste, to support the mission of providing quality healthcare to veterans. Work Details The contractor must furnish all management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, consumables, parts, and related services necessary for solid waste collection and removal. Specific tasks include: - Pickup, transport, and disposal of solid waste three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays). - Provide and maintain one 30 cubic yard roll-off dumpster for solid waste collection. - Monthly pickup and disposal of wooden shipping pallets. - Weekly pickup and recycling of cardboard. - Bi-weekly pickup and recycling of ferrous and nonferrous metals. - Monthly pickup and recycling of comingled plastic and aluminum. - Ensure all dumpsters are clean, odor-free, and well-maintained. - Submit monthly invoices detailing service quantities and weights for various recyclables to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). - Provide 24-hour emergency waste removal service with a response time of two hours for emergencies. - Maintain safety protocols in compliance with OSHA regulations and provide required personal protective equipment (PPE).
