Background The project is issued by the Naval Medical Center at Camp Lejeune, which is part of the Marine Corps Base (MCB) in North Carolina. The mission of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and operational efficiency of HVAC systems within specific buildings on the base. The goal is to clean fifty HVAC Air Handling Units (AHUs) and four Roof Top Units (RTUs) to maintain air quality and system performance. Work Details The contractor is responsible for comprehensive internal cleaning of fifty AHUs in building NH100 and four RTUs in buildings NH120/121. Tasks include: - Cleaning cooling and heating coils - Supply fans - Return fans - Filter frames - Motors - Condensate drain pans - Dampers - Duct connection canvases - Internal supports - Casings Outdoor air ductwork associated with AHUs must also be cleaned. Specific tasks include removing supply fan impellers for cleaning, vacuuming insulation materials, repairing leaking chilled water lines on roofs, replacing damaged electrical circuit breakers, and combing bent coil fins. Cleaning methods may involve vacuuming, brushing, wet chemical cleaning, and other approved techniques. The contractor must develop a Site-specific Safety and Health Plan (SSHP/HASP) that includes emergency procedures and site hazards. Weekly In-Progress Review meetings with MCB Camp Lejeune personnel are required to discuss findings and deliverables.
