Background The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) issues this Request for Proposals (RFP) to acquire a contractor to provide statewide collection and disposal services for canceled, suspended, and unusable pesticides (CSUP). The goal of the contract is to promote safe and environmentally sound pesticide use, handling, and disposal, particularly for small farmers and other pesticide users who face regulatory burdens. Operation Clean Sweep has been operational since 1995, collecting over 2 million pounds of hazardous pesticides across Florida. Work Details The contractor must collect and dispose of canceled, suspended, and unusable pesticides statewide. This includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and supervision necessary to deliver the services outlined in Exhibit A - Scope of Work. The initial term of the contract will be one year with the possibility of up to three additional one-year renewals upon mutual agreement. Period of Performance The initial term of the contract will be one year from the date of award. It may be renewed for up to three additional one-year terms based on mutual agreement. Place of Performance Services will be performed statewide across all 67 counties in Florida. Bidder Requirements Vendors must register in MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and comply with various certifications including not participating in a boycott of Israel or being on any prohibited vendor lists. Vendors must also certify compliance with drug-free workplace requirements and provide documentation as specified in the RFP.
