TNF Fire Extinguisher Services

This is a non-personal services contract for fire extinguisher services for the Forest Service, Tongass National Forest (TNF), Southeast Alaska. The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor who, in turn, is responsible to the Government. Purpose: The purpose of this contract is to ensure fire extinguishers are fully functional, compliant with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, certified, and ready for emergency use.

Description of Services

The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, and all other items and non personal services necessary to provide fire extinguisher services for multiple Tongass National Forest facilities throughout Southeast Alaska. Services include, but are not limited to, maintenance, inspection, testing, recharge, refilling, replacement, and disposal of fire extinguishers to ensure all units remain safe and fully operational. All services shall be performed in accordance with (IAW) this Performance Work Statement (PWS), the manufacturer's technical manuals for each extinguisher type, and all applicable local, state, and federal standards, laws, and regulations.

Place of Performance

The work shall be performed at multiple TNF facilities located throughout Southeast Alaska: Hoonah, Craig, Juneau, Ketchikan, Petersburg, Sitka, Thorne Bay, Wrangell, and Yakutat.

Period of Performance

The period of performance shall be for 1 Base Period of 12-months and 4 Option Periods of 12-months each.
