Background

The University of Kentucky is seeking proposals from qualified information technology vendors to provide enterprise-level Windows-based desktops, laptops, mobile/tablet devices, maintenance, and associated services as part of its Computer Standardization Program. The goal is to meet current and future needs while minimizing costs. The University spends approximately $6 million annually on these products and services for its main campus, healthcare facilities, and state extension offices. This contract will be available for use by all University affiliates.

Work Details

The selected vendor will provide the following: - Enterprise-level Windows-based desktops and laptops - Mobile/tablet devices - Maintenance services - Associated services including: - Ordering methodologies - EDI capacity - SAP and Workday punch-out experience - Distribution logistics - Lead times - Pre-loading software - Warranty plans (including a self-maintainer program) - Asset management - Reporting - Marketing roll-out - Technical support flow. The proposal must also include evidence of successful management of a hardware standardization program.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for three years from the date of award with the possibility of up to three additional one-year renewals based on performance satisfaction.

Place of Performance

The work will primarily take place at the University of Kentucky's main campus in Lexington, KY, as well as at its healthcare facilities and state extension offices.

Bidder Requirements

Offerors must be legally entitled to enter into contracts with the University of Kentucky and must not have any prohibited conflicts of interest. They must also be registered with the Kentucky Department of Revenue to collect sales tax. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to support Kentucky-located businesses in their proposals.
