Background The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) is seeking quotations for construction services to replace the vehicle gate and fencing at the Four Corners Construction Office in Farmington, New Mexico. This project addresses the urgent need to replace aging infrastructure that has not been updated in decades, which has led to multiple failures of gate operators. The goal of this contract is to enhance security and functionality by replacing dilapidated cantilevered vehicle gates and re-aligning associated fencing. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the vehicle gate and fence replacement at the Four Corners Construction Office. The scope includes: 1. Demolition & Site Prep: - Remove existing gate leaf, hardware, operator, and associated wiring. - Dispose of debris and remove adjacent fencing (approximately 61 linear feet). - Conduct utility locates and protect existing services prior to excavation. - Excavate for new posts/footings to engineered depth. 2. Structural & Hardware Installation: - Set posts (2 roller posts + 1 receiver/latch post) in concrete footing (qty 6). - Install gate frame for the North and East vehicle entrances (20-ft cantilever) with cross-bracing. - Install cantilever rollers/trolleys for each gate (qty 4). Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 7 calendar days after receiving award and complete it within 18 calendar days.
