Alta Collina - Trail Phase I

Sealed proposals are invited for the construction of the ALTA COLLINA - TRAIL PHASE I project for Sanitary and Improvement District 353 of Sarpy County, Nebraska. The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the project, which involves constructing sidewalks and related work at specified locations. The project includes 149' of a proposed 10' trail on the north side of Lookingglass Drive between S 48th and S 49th Streets, 292' of a proposed 10' trail on the north side of Lookingglass Drive between S 49th and S 50th Streets, 295' of a proposed 10' trail on the north side of Lookingglass Drive between S 50th and S 51st Streets, 127' of a proposed 10' trail on the north side of Lookingglass Drive between S 51st Street and the east edge of Outlot B, 615' of a proposed 10' trail on the east side of S 51st Street between Lookingglass and Falcon Drives, 508' of a proposed 10' trail on the east side of S 52nd Street between Falcon and Pinehill Drives, and 149' of a proposed 10' trail on the east side of S 52nd Street between Pinehill Drive and the north limit of SID 353. Additionally, curb ramps will be constructed at all Phase 1 intersections. The engineer's estimate for the cost of these improvements is $483,831.06. There will be no pre-bid meeting for this project. All proposals must be submitted on bid forms provided by FOLEYSHALD ENGINEERING and must include a bid bond or certified check for at least $24,191.55, made payable to the Treasurer of Sanitary and Improvement District 353. This serves as security to ensure that the awarded bidder will enter into a contract for the work and provide a maintenance bond for 100% of the total contract price as outlined in the specifications. Bid bonds must be executed by a licensed corporate surety, and checks from unsuccessful bidders will be returned. Bidders are not allowed to withdraw their proposals for 60 days following the bid opening date. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to the Clerk of Sanitary and Improvement District 353, clearly marked with 'PROPOSAL FOR SID 353 - ALTA COLLINA TRAIL PHASE I' along with the bidder's name and address. The bid security must be in a separate sealed envelope attached to the proposal envelope, marked 'BID SECURITY' with the project identified. All work will be conducted under a written contract with the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with the plans and specifications. Plans, specifications, and contract documents can be obtained from A&D Technical Supply in Omaha, Nebraska. The Sanitary and Improvement District 353 of Sarpy County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.
