Summary (Newest Update)

Background The United States Air Force (USAF) is seeking to establish an organic, depot-level repair capability for the Flow Control Valve used in F-15EX aircraft. This initiative aims to maximize the reuse of existing F-15 legacy capabilities and ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency. ITT Aerospace Controls LLC has been identified as the sole source for this contract due to their unique position as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Flow Control Valve, which is critical for the F-15EX's baseline design. The contract will support Depot Activation (DA) efforts, allowing comprehensive overhaul and maintenance of parts and subassemblies necessary for national defense. Work Details The contract will involve the procurement of essential parts and services required for the repair and maintenance of Flow Control Valves. Key components include: - Specialized Test Equipment (STE) - Test Program Sets (TPS) - Interface Test Adapters (ITAs) The Flow Control Valves are designed to manage, regulate, and shut off various fluids in aircraft systems, providing high-reliability solutions under severe operating conditions. They must withstand high pressure, high heat, and electromagnetic interference (EMI), typically made from aluminum or stainless steel materials. The contract will also cover associated parts/spares and rights to technical data necessary for effective repairs. Period of Performance The IDIQ contract will have a three-year base ordering period with an additional one-year option. Place of Performance The work will be performed at designated Air Logistics Complexes (ALCs) where the depot-level repair capability will be established. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be authorized distributors or OEMs capable of providing the Flow Control Valve and associated technical data rights necessary for Depot Activation. Due to proprietary restrictions from private investments in development, only ITT Aerospace Controls LLC possesses the required technical expertise, data rights, and documentation needed to fulfill this contract.
