Background

The State of Louisiana, through the Office of State Procurement, is issuing this solicitation to establish a Service Contract for Armed Security Guard Services for the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). The goal is to provide security services that ensure safety and protection at designated locations. The contract is intended to begin on July 1, 2026, or upon award, and will last until June 30, 2027, with options for two additional one-year renewals.

Work Details

The contractor will provide Armed Security Guard Services during regular hours from Monday to Friday, specifically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The services will involve approximately 40 hours per week, excluding weekends and holidays. The contract includes the following specific service requirements: 1. **Regular Hours**: - Quantity: 600 hours (07/01/2026 - 09/30/2026) - Quantity: 1,520 hours (10/01/2026 - 06/30/2027) 2. **Overtime Hours**: - Quantity: 35 hours (07/01/2026 - 09/30/2026) - Quantity: 296 hours (10/01/2026 - 06/30/2027)

Period of Performance

The initial period of performance is from July 1, 2026, or date of award (whichever is later), ending on June 30, 2027. The contract may be renewed for two additional twelve-month periods at the same prices, with a total contract duration not exceeding thirty-six months.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at the DCFS Covington Regional Child Services Office located at 606 South First Street, Amite, LA 70422.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered in the LaGov system to submit an online bid and must include a W-9 form if newly registered.
