Armed Security Guard - DCFS

Background

The Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is seeking to establish a Service Contract for Armed Security Guard Services. The Office of State Procurement is responsible for overseeing this solicitation, which aims to ensure the safety and security of DCFS facilities and operations. The contract will provide necessary armed security services to support the agency's mission of protecting children and families in Louisiana.

Work Details

The contractor will provide Armed Security Guard Services as specified in the solicitation. This includes: - Regular hourly armed guard services, with a total estimated quantity of 2,210 hours (560 hours at a regular hourly rate and 1,650 hours at the same rate). - The contractor must be licensed with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners and submit their current license with their bid.

Period of Performance

The initial period of performance will begin upon award and end on June 30, 2027. There is an option for renewal for two additional 12-month periods, making the total contract time not to exceed 36 months.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at DCFS Natchitoches CSE located at 106 Charlene Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be licensed with the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners. Additionally, all bidders must be registered in the LaGov system to submit an online bid. A W-9 form must be included if newly registered. Bidders are required to comply with various state laws including civil rights laws and ADA accessibility requirements. They must also certify that they are not suspended or debarred by federal authorities.
