Background The Department of Veteran Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for tree maintenance services at Fort Logan National Cemetery. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and safety of trees within the cemetery grounds, which is essential for maintaining the aesthetic and operational integrity of this significant site. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for tree maintenance services including: tree removal, stump removal, pruning, trimming, cabling, cavity repair, root pruning, and disposal of resulting waste and debris. Specific tasks include: removing six (6) medium trees; removing six (6) medium tree stumps; performing deadwood pruning on one (1) large tree; removing nine (9) large trees; and removing one (1) large tree stump. The current scope’s activities—tree removal, pruning/trimming, stump removal, and related debris disposal under Certified Arborist oversight—are consistent with these prior tree maintenance services and appear to be a continuation of the same type of work at the same site.
